How to Use Teams

Our first release of Teams is now available! There will be additional Teams features coming in the near future, but learn how to start using Teams now!

This feature will allow others on your team to provide back-office support, schedule inspections, perform inspections, and more. Below you will find instructions on how to start building your team. (Note: You must have a Pro Subscription to build a team)

Go to your Settings, and click on the Manage Team button. Then click CREATE A NEW TEAM.

Your Team Name and Logo will pull from your Company Profile under your Settings. At this point, as long as you have a Pro Subscription, you can hit Confirm and create your team. Then, you can start inviting members.

After filling out the email address you would like to invite, select their role. This will determine the monthly cost of that team member and what permissions they have.

NOTE: EMAILS ARE CASE SENSITIVE – SO PLEASE ENTER THE EMAILS FOR YOUR TEAM INVITATIONS IN LOWER-CASE LETTERS

You will be able to choose between these roles:

  • Admin – Full access with no limitations
  • Inspector – Basic access that allows your inspectors to perform inspections, but not edit anything on an admin level
  • Scheduler – There is no charge for this particular type of user. They will have access to scheduling components, but not to templates and other admin features, and they are not able to perform inspections
  • Manager – Managers have nearly all the access that an admin does. They are able to perform inspections, edit templates, and more, but do not have access to higher-level account information/access, such as deleting the account and billing

If you need to remove a team member at any point, simply click the Edit button next to their name, and hit the Remove button. Once a team member is removed, that member will not be able to access any of the Admin’s info. Also, the Admin will not continue to be charged for that team member on the next billing cycle.

To assign an inspector(s) to an inspection, open the inspection and you will find the button Assign Inspectors. Click that, choose a time slot and an inspector, and click Done. This inspection will now be able to be performed by that inspector. You can assign multiple inspectors to one inspection as well.

Your inspectors will need to have their own accounts, but they don’t need to have a Pro account to join your team – a free one works just fine.

They will receive an invitation in their email as well as in the app. In the main menu, there will be a blue indicator letting them know they have a pending invitation.

When they open up settings, they will see a section labeled “Teams Invitations” from there they just need to click on it and then click on the accept button and they will be part of your team.

Once they have become part of the team, they will have a dropdown available at the top of the main menu. Your logo should show next to your company name for them to easily identify it. If they are in the role of inspector, only inspections that have been assigned to them will show in their list.
