Comment Ratings/Sub-Items
We’ve added a powerful update to Inspector Toolbelt that gives you more control and flexibility in your reports. You can now assign individual ratings to specific comments, so mixed conditions are clearer and clients aren’t left guessing. Combined with the expanded versatility of sub-items, this opens up multiple use cases—from separating safety concerns from maintenance notes, to documenting functional but outdated components without cluttering the main narrative. The result is cleaner reports, better communication, and fewer follow-up questions after the inspection.

Custom Payment Tags
You now have more options in how you track payment types inside Inspector Toolbelt. In addition to standard options like checks and credit cards, you can create custom payment tags that match how you actually do business—giving you more granular, accurate record-keeping and clearer financial reporting over time.

BUG FIXES | IMPROVEMENTS | ROADMAP | & ANNOUNCEMENTS
– FIXED: Calendar dropdown cuts off at the bottom of the screen in the last row of the calendar
– FIXED: Calendar times sort from earliest at the bottom instead of at the top
– FIXED: Date wrong on TREC form
– FIXED: Future years added to date picker attribute
– FIXED: Video feature on Android devices not working
– FIXED: When Google Maps is not able to find an address, the inspectionis not be able to be approved with certain addresses
– FIXED: When multiple photos are uploaded at once in a certain way, it can cause the upload of those photos to stall temporarily
– IMPROVED: Square would occasionally have billing issues – we added safeguards to prevent it from happening

– ANNOUNCEMENT for FREE TIER USERS ONLY (not those trialing or on pro): This was announced in April of 2024, and again several times over the year in email, on our website, and in the popup message within the app, as well as this year in 2025: Although we have no plans to discontinue the free tier of ITB, some changes and limitations will be coming soon.
*PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CHANGE IN THE FREE TIER HAS HAD SOME DELAYS, AS WE ARE PUSHING OUT ADDITIONAL FEATURES AND IMPROVEMENTS
We will be limiting the number of inspections that free tier users can schedule in a month to 5 and will be turning on pro scheduling features for free users (so you will have 25 notifications available, service area, and other features that are available on the Pro tier). The 5 free scheduled inspections do not include 5 free reports each month though – it only includes the scheduling portion.
These changes will be coming up soon. Please note this, as we are trying to give as much notice as possible to those who use the free tier. Please contact support for questions if you are on the free tier.
