Rating Presets on Comments
We’ve added another time-saving upgrade to Inspector Toolbelt that streamlines how you build reports in the field. With rating presets on comments, you can predefine a rating for specific comments so when you select something like “AC unit was defective,” the correct rating that you pre-attach to that comment in your template is automatically applied and broken out as its own defect or sub-item. This removes repetitive clicks, speeds up report writing, and ensures consistency across inspections—especially for common findings. The result is faster workflows, cleaner reports, and less mental friction while you’re on site.

– FIXED: Comments duplicate when reverting back and forth from sub-items
– FIXED: Comments are hidden when marked in the template instead of the inspection
– FIXED: Photos do not stay in order on desktop and Android (please note this issue still exists on iOS, as Apple changed how it processes photos – we have a workaround coming soon and it is at the top of our priority list)
– FIXED: Missing comments in some sub-items with a certain combination of data on the repair list report
– FIXED: Notifications settings block going out past 8 weeks
– IMPROVED: Workflow with sub-items was smoothed out with user feedback in multiple ways
– IMPROVED: Download button added to agreement signature screen after the client signs the agreement, so they can save a copy of the signed agreement

– ANNOUNCEMENT for FREE TIER USERS ONLY (not those trialing or on pro): This was announced in April of 2024, and again several times over the year in email, on our website, and in the popup message within the app, as well as this year in 2025: Although we have no plans to discontinue the free tier of ITB, some changes and limitations will be coming soon.
*PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CHANGE IN THE FREE TIER HAS HAD SOME DELAYS, AS WE ARE PUSHING OUT ADDITIONAL FEATURES AND IMPROVEMENTS
We will be limiting the number of inspections that free tier users can schedule in a month to 5 and will be turning on pro scheduling features for free users (so you will have 25 notifications available, service area, and other features that are available on the Pro tier). The 5 free scheduled inspections do not include 5 free reports each month though – it only includes the scheduling portion.
These changes will be coming up soon. Please note this, as we are trying to give as much notice as possible to those who use the free tier. Please contact support for questions if you are on the free tier.
